Entre Nous can now unmask the mischief-maker behind reports of the appointment of a mystery Euro MP, Gestured Dusting, to chair a crucial series of discussions on “the fundamental elements of an overall vision of the Union's rendezvous on the eve of the third millenium”.

It was claimed that Dusting would be taking on the new role in addition to his current job as chairman of the executive committee of the International European Movement.

The news caught everybody by surprise, because, surely, Valery Giscard d'Estaing holds the post?

But the respected journal Agence Europe which carried the report, left no room for doubt. It headlined its article: “A group of prominent people led by Gestured Dusting to reflect on the future of the Union.”

But Dusting is a fraudulent creation and, after weeks of research, we can confirm that the author of this piece was none other than Spellchecker Bodger, the international evil-doer who plagues computer systems throughout the world and wilfully changes perfectly good copy into gobble the cook. (I'm sorry, that should have read gobbledegook.) The sooner Bodger is captured the better for everyone.
