Gender test

Here's one to test political correctness to its limits: the EU treaties contain not one reference to either 'she' or 'her'.

Entre Nous cannot vouch for this personally, but takes the word of one enterprising EU delegation which put the various treaties (Rome, Maastricht, Euratom, Coal and Steel and the Single European Act) through a computer spell check and came up with the fact that 'he' is mentioned 34 times and 'his' 62 times.

Could it be time, perhaps, for a little tactful re-writing of history. Or should that be 'herstory'?
