Market farces in action

Stories appearing on this page have been called many things, but 'market mover' is not one of them - until now.

Last week's tale of the Danish stagiaires who were forced to withdraw their “Blondes have more fun” posters advertising a party has helped to create a black market, not only in the posters themselves with their pictures of a scantily-clad model, but also in the matching tickets which were on sale for the event.

Both have become collector's items, apparently, with officials throughout the Commission prepared to pay out large sums.
