The European Commission on 17 November 2005 presented its Autumn economic forecast for the period of 2005-2007. According to the report economic activity was set to grow 1.5% in the European Union in 2005 before rebounding to potential in 2006 at 2.1% and to accelerate further to 2.4% in 2007.
