Press Release: UK issues regulations transposing the Linking Directive

The UK Government, on 19 October 2005, laid regulations in Parliament that transposed the Linking Directive into UK law. The Linking Directive (2004/101/EC) amends the Emissions Trading Directive (2003/87/EC) to allow member states to provide for credits earned through the Kyoto project mechanisms to be used for compliance with the EU Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS).
