Chirac and Blair look at ways to boost economy

French President Jacques Chirac and UK Prime Minister Tony Blair met in Paris on 7 October 2005 for preparatory talks in the lead up to an informal meeting of European Union leaders at Hampton Court (London) on 27 October 2005. The meeting focused on how the UK and France could promote new initiatives to boost the European economy.
