Germany ratifies EU reform treaty

Germany completed ratification of the European Union's Treaty of Lisbon, 23 May 2008.

However, German President Koehler put on hold his country's ratification of the EU's Lisbon Treaty in July 2008 until Germany's Constitutional Court ruled on legal challenges to the text by The Left and a member of the Christian Social Union.
