Press Release: State aid: Commission opens probe into restructuring aid for Kliq in The Netherlands

The European Commission on 5 August 2005 opened a formal investigation under EC Treaty state aid rules into restructuring aid for KG Holding N V (Kliq) in The Netherlands. The probe was intended to give the Commission more information on the measure and to give an opportunity for interested third parties for comments. The Commission would then finalise its assessment of whether the measure was likely to cause undue distortion of competition within the Single Market.
