Press Release: The Commission issues a positive assessment on the management and control systems in Greece

The European Commission on 22 July 2005 issued a positive assessment of the management and control systems put in place in Greece for European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) payments under Greece's third Community Support Framework (CSF). The positive conclusion followed a lengthy verification procedure which had begun in 2001 and had led Greece to modify its legislation and procedures in relation to the procurement of public works contracts.
