The European Commission on 11 January 2005 recommended to the Council of the EU to agree that Swedish public finances meet the requirements of the Stability and Growth Pact. This followed the assessment of the updated convergence programme of Sweden for the period 2004-2007 in accordance with EU budgetary surveillance rules. |
