Italy raises the prospect of intervention on euro

There is increasing European Union nervousness about the impact of the rise of the euro against the dollar and its effect on the eurozone's economic recovery. Speaking on 10 November 2004, Italy's Economy Minister, Domenico Siniscalco, raised the prospect of co-ordinated central bank intervention to stabilise the euro.
