Lawyers appointed to defend Slobodan Milosevic, the former Yugoslav president, at his war crimes trial in The Hague have formally applied to leave the case. British barrister Steven Kay, together with Gillian Higgins, are complaining that their efforts to defend Mr Milosevic are stymied by the former Serbian leader's lack of co-operation.
