Car industry attacked over spares market

The European Commissioner for the Internal Market, Frits Bolkestein, has attacked the European car industry for opposing his plans to liberalise the vehicle spare parts market. Mr Bolkestein's proposals were finally approved by the European Commission on 14 September 2004.
