Press Release: European nations sign up to Defra’s emissions trading registry

The UK Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs has agreed terms with emissions trading authorities from nine countries on the use the UK's electronic emissions trading registry software - GRETA (Greenhouse Gases Registry for Emissions Trading Arrangements). GRETA software will be used by EU Member States for the EU Emissions Trading Scheme and by a broader range of participants for international emissions trading under the UN Kyoto Protocol.
