Press Release: Prodi hails ‘vital role’ of CoR in dialogue with associations

Romano Prodi, President of the European Commission, has hailed the 'vital role' which will be played by the Committee of the Regions (CoR) in developing a systematic political dialogue between the European Commission and associations representing the EU's regional and local authorities. Mr Prodi, accompanied by Regional Policy Commissioner Jacques Barrot, joined CoR President Peter Straub to launch the first such exchange at the European Parliament in Brussels on 10 May 2004.
