The Irish Minister for Labour Affairs, Frank Fahey, told the European Parliament, on 22 January 2004, that the Lisbon process involved far more than an economic agenda and that the European labour market would have to become more adaptable and offer a better balance between flexibility and security in the workplace in order to retain its best and brightest talent. |
