A car bomb exploded in Afghanistan's capital Kabul on 24 July 2017 resulting in a number of casualties. The blast in the west of the city struck a bus carrying government employees from the ministry of mines, according to officials.

The attack took place only a day after another attack on a hospital in central Ghor province. The Taliban were blamed for both incidents.
