Summit meetings, 1975-

Meetings of Heads of State or Government of OSCE participating States set priorities and provide orientation at the highest political level at Summit Meetings. The first Summit took place in Helsinki and ended on 1 August 1975, when the Helsinki Final Act was signed. Subsequent Summit Meetings have been held in the following cities: Paris, 1990, Helsinki, 1992, Budapest, 1994, Lisbon, 1996 and Istanbul, 1999.
