Rapid strengthening of euro ‘could pose threat to economic recovery’

Nout Wellink, President of the Dutch Central Bank and Member of the Governing Council of the European Central Bank, warned on 17 December 2003 that a 'too rapid' strengthening of the euro could threaten the fragile recovery now underway in the eurozone.
