Following the EU Fisheries Council which took place in Brussels in December 2003, the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources, Dermot Ahern, said on 19 December 2003, that he had succeeded in substantially modifying Commission proposals which would have imposed drastic restrictions on Irish fishermen in the Irish Sea. |
