Press Release: Europe must quicken the pace of reform. Taoiseach calls for the EU to give increased focus to growth and employment

The Irish Prime Minister, Bertie Ahern, (the Taoiseach) wrote to his European Union colleagues in November 2003, calling for a focused approach to the Spring Economic Council due to take place in March 2004. The Prime Minister also sent a short Paper outlining the key areas that Ireland intended to focus on at the European Council.
