EU border agency plans unveiled

The European Commission has unveiled proposals for a new border control agency to stem the influx of illegal migrants into the union. The European Commission has adopted a proposal for a Council Regulation establishing a European Agency for the Management of Operational Co-operation at the External Borders (land borders, maritime borders and international airports) of the European Union.
