EU peace support work ‘failing’

The European Union's peace support efforts around the world have been heavily criticised in a new report from the European Council on Foreign Relations, October 2009. The report says that the EU has a disturbing 'lack of capacity' when it comes to state building and crisis missions. The EU and its Member States need to stand up to help prevent fragile states turning into failed states.
