OECD Employment Outlook 2003. Towards more and better jobs

The 2003 edition of this annual title sets out a new manifesto on jobs: Are employment gains registered during the past decade sustainable ? Are more and better jobs possible? To what extent are groups like women, older workers, and the less educated likely to be trapped in low-quality jobs? How can flexible work arrangements like family-friendly policies facilitate access to employment for under-represented groups? How much can “activation” strategies, like intensive job counselling, help reduce dependency on income replacement benefits? How can training policies effectively reduce inequalities among the less educated, older workers, women, immigrants, part-timers and temporary workers?
