Date: 06/03/03 NOMINATIONS are being invited for this year's Solidar Silver Rose Awards which mark the achievements of people and groups who have contributed to social justice. Previous winners of the annual award include Morgan Tsvangirai, president of the Movement for Democrat Change in Zimbabwe, and Doreen and Neville Lawrence, the parents of murdered London teenager Stephen Lawrence. This year, two awards will be made - one for an individual or organisation working within the EU and one for an individual or group working internationally. The deadline for nominations is 11 April. The awards will be presented by Welsh MEP Glenys Kinnock on 15 October. Solidar is a Brussels-based international alliance of social and economic NGOs.
