Brussels gets tough to boost broadband competition

Article reports on a draft of the European Commission's annual report on the telecoms sector which indicates that the Commission is to intensify its crackdown on telecommunications operators and national governments in its drive to boost competition in the high-speed broadband internet market. The report is due to be approved at the Transport/Telecommunications/Energy Council in Brussels on 5-6 December 2002.
