A report by Pedro Solbes, European Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs reveals that EU Member States might need until 2006 to balance their budgets - two years later than planned. The findings are another blow to the credibility of the EU's Stability and Growth Pact, under which Member States agreed to balance their budgets by 2004 at the latest. |
