EU diplomat: Egyptian army rejected peace plan

Reports of the EU reaction to the events in Egypt during August 2013 following the Egyptian army clamp-down against the Muslim Brotherhood and the democratically elected government in Egypt.

News sources reported that senior European Union diplomats held talks in Brussels on the 19 August 2013 to discuss the EU's reaction to the crisis in Egypt – with a meeting of foreign ministers from the 28 Member States also a possibility.
