Abstract: An increasing quantity of personal data is processed and now made available throughout the world, and the Directive lays down the individuals’ basic rights to privacy. The Norwegian data protection legislation creates, in accordance with the Directive, a series of rights for individuals such as the right to receive information when data are collected, the right of access to thendata, and if necessary, the right to have the data corrected, as well as the right to object to certain types of data processing. |
