The European reforms of the car sales market should clear the way for cheaper cars for UK customers, the UK Consumer and Competitions Minister, Melanie Johnson, said on 18 July 2002. The European Commission 'block exemption rules' will become law on 1 October 2002 and after a one year transition period will take full effect in October 2003. |
