The UK Foreign Secretary, Jack Straw, had a meeting with the Maltese Prime Minister, Dr Edward Fenech Adami, on 18 February 2003. Malta will be the first of the ten EU accession states to hold a referendum or parliamentary vote on membership, on 8 March 2003. |
