Memo: Slovakia – Operational Programme 2007-2013: Western Slovakia, Central Slovakia and Eastern Slovakia Regional Operational Programme

On 26 September 2007, the European Commission approved a Regional Operational Programme for the Slovakian regions of Western Slovakia, Central Slovakia and Eastern Slovakia for the period 2007-13 (only the regions in red on the map). The Operational Programme falls within the Convergence Objective framework and has a total budget of around €1.7 billion. Community investment through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) amounts to some €1.45 billion, which represents approximately 12.5% of the total EU investment earmarked for Slovakia under the Cohesion Policy for 2007-13.
