Business chiefs throw weight behind Kyoto climate accord

Report of the annual meeting of the EU-Japan Business Dialogue Round Table in Brussels on 9 and 10 July 2001where senior executives from more than 40 corporations urged the EU and Japan to bring the US back into the process on the Kyoto Protocol on climate change. The economic relationship between Japan and the EU in general and the implementation of the recently signed Mutual Recognition Agreements between the EU and Japan were discussed at the meeting.
