A meeting of the Economic and Financial Affairs was held on 5 December 2017. The agenda includes the following topics:
+ Adoption of EU list of non-cooperative jurisdictions in the framework of tax fraud prevention;
+ Adoption of conclusions on the taxation of profits in the digital economy;
+ Adoption of proposals related to electronic commerce;
+ Discussion on proposals aimed at reducing risk in the banking industry, including the work undertaken on the proposed European Deposit Insurance Scheme and on the proposal regarding non-performing loans;
+ Decision to close the excessive deficit procedure for the United Kingdom and to issue a recommendation under the 'significant deviation procedure' to Romania.
Before the Council, ministers held a breakfast meeting to discuss the economic situation, including a discussion on the annual report of the European Fiscal Board.
