On 12 June 2001 the Standing Veterinary Committee (SVC) voted in favour of a European Commission proposal with regard to foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) in the Netherlands. The restrictive measures in the Netherlands have been further relaxed. No more Community protection measures relating to foot-and-mouth disease will apply in any Member State except Great Britain. |
