Legislative package delivering the Circular Economy Action Plan

The European Commission adopted on 16 January 2018 a package of documents and initiatives in the framework its Circular Economy Action Plan.

This legislative package includes:

• Communication on a European strategy for plastics in a circular economy;
• Communication on a monitoring framework for the circular economy;
• Communication on the interface between chemicals, products and waste;
• Proposal for a Directive on port reception facilities for the delivery of waste from ships;
• Report on the impact of the use of oxo-degradable plastic on the environment;
• Report on Critical Raw Materials.
