In the run-up to the Stockholm Summit of 23-24 March 2001, the European Commission adopted a Communication on the impact and priorities of the eEurope 2002 Initiative. The document consists of two parts: benchmarking on the take-up and use of the Internet and priorities for future action, as requested at the Nice Summit in December 2000.
