Czech president Milos Zeman stated in April 2015 that the United States ambassador Andrew Schapiro was no longer welcome the Prague Castle, the president's official residence. The decision followed Mr Schapiro's remarks seen as critical of the president's decision to attend World War Two commemorations in Moscow, Russia, on 9 May 2015. Many European countries, as well the US, decided to decline invitations to attend the parade as a way of condemning Russia's attitude towards Ukraine. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was reported to attend the parade. |
