Tymoshenko denied registration as election candidate

On 14 August 2012 EurActiv reported that the centre-right political group of the European Parliament joined Ukrainian opposition forces in criticising the Ukrainian Central Election Committee’s refusal to register Yulia Tymoshenko and Yuri Lutsenko, who are political leaders of the opposition party, as candidates for the parliamentary elections to be held in October 2012.
