On the 18 July 2016, the third meeting of the Accession Conference with Serbia at Ministerial level took place in Brussels.

Two important and demanding chapters which are tied to basic values and principles of the EU were opened: Chapter 23 - Judiciary and fundamental rights, and Chapter 24 - Justice, freedom and security.
