Summit on the international financial crisis, Paris, 4 October 2008: Fresh questions raised over Europe’s response

Reports of the (G4) Summit on the international financial crisis, Paris, 4 October 2008 chaired by French President Nicolas Sarkozy, Paris, 4 October 2008 and attended by the leaders of the Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, the Eurogroup, the European Commission and the European Central Bank.

The leaders from Europe's main economic powers called for a looser application of EU deficit and state aid rules in the face of the credit crunch.
