Statement: Welcoming Remarks by EU Trade Commissioner Karel De Gucht at the Outset of Stocktaking Meetings with United States Trade Representative Ambassador Michael Froman on a Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership Agreement

On the 17 February 2014 in Washington, the EU Trade Commissioner Karel De Gucht discussed with the United States Trade Representative Ambassador Michael Froman on a Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership Agreement (TTIP).

The Commissioner said that what the EU will try to do with the US is to make progress together among not only economies, but also societies, to work together and to create jobs on both sides of the Atlantic.
