State of play of the preparations of the Maltese presidency of the Council of the European Union

The European Commission's president Jean-Claude Juncker held a meeting with the Maltese prime minister Joseph Muscat on 16 November 2016 to take stock of the preparations for Malta's presidency of the Council of the European Union from January to June 2017.

This meeting followed another between the EU's High Representative on Foreign Policy and the country's foreign minister.
