Speech: Here’s looking at you – Tanović receives Prix MEDIA

Text of a speech by Androulla Vassiliou, Member of the European Commission for Education, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth, at the 2014 Prix MEDIA award ceremony, Cannes, 17 May 2014.

Tanović received the award from Commissioner Androulla Vassiliou. The director shares the award with co-scriptwriter Predrag Kojovic and producer Amra Baksic Camo for What Are You Looking At?, a story he describes as being "about a city in an indefinitely prolonged post-war period, without heroes and with its values hijacked by corruption and crime".
