A Spanish judge summoned the youngest daughter of King Juan Carlos in January 2014 to appear in court over accusations of fraud and money-laundering. The Infanta Cristina, 48, had been linked to the business affairs of her husband, Inaki Urdangarin, who was being investigated for alleged embezzlement. Princess Cristina was questioned in court on the 8 February 2014. It was the first time in history that a member of Spain's royal family had appeared in court as the subject of a criminal investigation. |
