Slovak politics rocked by ‘Gorilla’ corruption scandal

EurActiv Slovakia reported that Slovak politicians headed into the March 2012 general elections embroiled in a massive corruption probe prompted by the publication of an alleged intelligence file code-named 'Gorilla'. The file suggested that members of leading political parties colluded with financiers in privatisation and public procurement projects.

Thousands of Slovaks staged a protest rally in Bratislava on the 10 February 2012 angered by the allegations.
