Sarkozy and Merkel warn on finance regulation

French President Nicolas Sarkozy and Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel warned the US and the banking industry at an economic symposium 'New World, New Capitalism', January 2009, not to try to thwart European efforts to tighten regulation of global finance at the G20 summit of leading and emerging economies in London in April 2009.
