Romanians and Bulgarians working in UK up 26%

The number of Romanians and Bulgarians working in the UK rose by a quarter in three months, figures from the (UK) Office for National Statistics published in August 2013 showed.

Critics claimed there would be an even bigger increase in 2014 as rules on the type of jobs people from the two countries can do were due to expire.
