On the 30 January 2017 the European Commission released remarks made by Jean-Claude Juncker at a joint press joint with Rumen Radev. The speech marked the 10th anniversary of Bulgaria’s accession to the EU. In the speech President Juncker discussed his fondness of Bulgaria, before moving on to the matters of concern of which he and Rumen Radev had discussed prior to the speech - namely defence matters, the migration crisis and the economic situation of Bulgaria. After Junckers remarks he answered two questions from journalists - the first about whether he and Radev had discussed the nomination of the next Bulgarian Commissioner, and whether they had discussed the issue of Russia and sanctions. |
