Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) stated on the 12 March 2014 that the European Parliament's consent to the EU-US trade deal 'could be endangered' if blanket mass surveillance by the US National Security Agency (NSA) did not stop, in a Resolution wrapping up their six-month own-initiative inquiry into US mass surveillance schemes. The text also called on the EU to suspend its bank data deal with the US and the 'Safe Harbour agreement' on data privacy. |
